Water Quality Report Questioned

Footnote fake out is when you make a series of banal statements with full references and then you slip in a leap of logic with no support, hoping no one will notice.

Something akin to that appears in the city of Glendale Public Service Department Annual Water Quality Report 1990. They fill the page with a lot of tests for obscure chemicals, which pass with flying colors. Then, down toward the bottom, they slip in “Total Dissolved Solids,” in which Glendale water is above federal and state standards for maximum contaminant level.

They say their water meets or exceeds federal and state water standards on the front page. That is not what they say on the back page.

Also, I note they do not test for asbestos.
