FREEWAY REPAIRS : Caltrans Lists Freeway Repairs

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities. ARTESIA FREEWAY (91)

1. Carson: Eastbound No. 1, 2 and 3 lanes at the Broadway Street undercrossing; 6 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday; bridge repair.

2. Long Beach: Eastbound No. 6 lane from Long Beach Boulevard to the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710) junction, plus the eastbound Artesia Freeway (91) connector to the Long Beach Freeway (710), and the Long Beach Boulevard on-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon today; marker repair.

3. Long Beach: Westbound alternating lanes from Downey Road to the Long Beach Freeway (710) separation, plus the westbound Artesia Freeway (91) connector to the northbound and southbound Long Beach Freeway (710), Downey Road on-ramp, Paramount Boulevard off-ramp, Cherry Avenue off-ramp and on-ramp, and Atlantic Avenue off-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon today; marker repair.

4. Long Beach: Westbound No. 2 lane from the westbound Artesia Freeway (91) connector to the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710); 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday; bridge repair. LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

5. Commerce: Southbound on-ramp at Atlantic Boulevard; 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday; guardrail repair.

6. Long Beach: Southbound No. 4 and 5 lanes from Artesia Boulevard to Long Beach Boulevard, plus the Artesia Boulevard on-ramp and Long Beach Boulevard off-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon today; marker repair.

7. Various Cities: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes from the southbound Santa Ana Freeway (5) junction to the Los Angeles River; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; sweeping. POMONA FREEWAY (60)

8. East Los Angeles: Eastbound No. 1 lane from Ford Boulevard to Atlantic Boulevard; 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday; glare screen repair.

9. Industry: Westbound No. 4 and 5 lanes from Crossroads Parkway to the San Gabriel River Freeway (605), plus the northbound and southbound connector from the San Gabriel River Freeway (605) to the westbound Pomona Freeway (60); 6 a.m. to noon today; mudjacking. SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

10. Whittier: Southbound off-ramp at Whittier Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; landscaping. SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

11. Norwalk: Northbound on-ramp at Imperial Highway; 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday; landscaping. TERMINAL ISLAND FREEWAY (103)

12. Long Beach: Southbound No. 3 lane approach to the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; bridge rail installation.

13. Long Beach: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes at the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday; bridge repair.
