Harvard won its fifth Copley Cup by holding the lead over the last three-quarters of the 2,000-meter race, finishing in 5:52.74 to beat Washington and Pennsylvania at the San Diego Crew Classic.
Boston University’s women’s team pulled away at the midpoint to win the Whittier Cup in 6:47.04, ahead of defending champion UCLA and California.
In the Cal Cup races, limited to state schools, UC Santa Barbara won the men’s title and USC took the women’s crown.
