Each of the singers in the pop trio Wilson Phillips, nominated this year for “Best New Artist” and “Best Album” Grammies, has bought a condo on the Westside of Los Angeles.

The album “Wilson Phillips,” the group’s first, has sold more than 4 million copies. The trio has also had a string of hit singles, including “You’re in Love,” “Hold On” and “Release Me.”

Two members of the group, WENDY WILSON and CHYNNA PHILLIPS, bought in Santa Monica and the third member, CARNIE WILSON, bought in an area bordering Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.

All in their early 20s, Carnie and Wendy are daughters of Beach Boy Brian Wilson and Chynna is the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and Papas.

Carnie Wilson’s new home is a two-story penthouse with two bedrooms and a loft in 1,900 square feet; Wendy Wilson’s is a Spanish-style, three-story townhouse with two bedrooms and a loft in 2,000 square feet, and Chynna Phillips’ is a one-story, ocean-view unit with twobedrooms in 1,550 square feet.

Two of the condos are newly built; Wendy’s is 10 years old. The singers each paid about $550,000, said sources who were not involved in the deals.

Jonah Wilson, a cousin of two of the singers, and Chris Furie represented the women through Prudential Rodeo Realty, which Furie has since left to form Regent Financial in Beverly Hills.

The Beverly Hills home where JOSE MENENDEZ and his wife, KITTY, were murdered in 1989 has been sold for $3.56 million in cash, sources say.

A local investor who did not want to be identified bought the five-bedroom, Mediterranean mansion, which had come on the market last June at $5.95 million. The Menendezes had paid $4 million for the 9,063-square-foot residence in 1988, according to public records.

The gated home--built in 1983 on the site of a small, 1927-era house--has a tennis court, swimming pool and two-story guest cottage.

The property was sold by the Menendezes’ estate through June Scott and Julien Bohbot, who had shared the listing at June Scott & Associates. Bohbot is now with Alvarez, Hyland & Young. The buyer was represented by Lea Lipman of Fred Sands Realtors. None of the realtors was available for comment.

The Menendezes’ sons--Lyle, 23, and Erik, 20--were accused of murdering their parents. They pleaded not guilty and are in jail, awaiting trial.

Tennis pro ROSCOE TANNER--who has one of the world’s fastest serves, clocked once at 153 miles an hour--has purchased a $1.7-million residence at Sherwood, billionaire David Murdock’s luxury-home development in Thousand Oaks.

Sherwood was formerly known as Lake Sherwood, but the community’s name was recently shortened to avoid confusion with the nearby lake.

Tanner, now director of tennis at Sherwood Country Club, bought a five-bedroom, New England Colonial on half an acre adjoining the sixth hole of the Sherwood golf course. He plans to move in with his wife and three children in early summer.

DENNIS GILBERT, a sports agent who represents such baseball players as Oakland Athletics outfielder Jose Canseco and Kansas City Royals pitcher Bret Saberhagen, has purchased a 10,732-square-foot home, which is under construction in Calabasas, for about $2 million.

The seven-bedroom, eight-bath house is being built on about three acres in Hidden Hills West, a gated 19-home project of JCC Development, said Steven Schwartz, the firm’s executive vice president.

Gilbert, who lives in the Beverly Hills Post Office area, is expected to move into his new home in 90 to 120 days. His home will also have a pool and tennis court, Schwartz said.
