A Ventura man has been arrested on suspicion of cultivation of marijuana, Ventura police said.

Officers with a search warrant found an elaborate growing operation inside his Vince Street residence, with one bedroom sealed off and the windows boarded up, police said.

The room was equipped with high-pressure sodium and metal halide lamps and showed evidence that 58 mature marijuana plants had recently been harvested.

Several pounds of marijuana, broken down into small quantities and packaged for sale, were seized. About a quarter of an ounce of methamphetamine, packaged for sale, was also seized, police said.

Shor was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and possession of methamphetamine for sale, and was booked into County Jail. His arraignment is set for today.
