GOING ONCE: Laguna Beach has lots of artists. Laguna Beach has lots of folks opposed to the San Joaquin Hills toll road. The two will merge Saturday, with toll road foes auctioning art to raise money for court battles against the highway. . . . Auction organizer Nancy Zeiger estimates that 35 to 50 pieces will be offered, including her own Frank Stella print. “Nobody wants a toll road cutting through the canyon,” Zeiger says. And “many of these artists live in the canyon.”
