Freeway Crash Halts Traffic for 2 Hours
An accident on the Simi Valley Freeway stopped traffic in both directions for nearly two hours Friday afternoon while medical personnel landed a helicopter on the eastbound lanes.
A victim in the accident, whose identity was unavailable Friday night, was flown to Simi Valley Adventist Hospital, a dispatcher for the California Highway Patrol said.
Officials stopped traffic about 3:15 p.m. after the accident near Sycamore Drive in Simi Valley. The freeway was reopened at 5 p.m.
