Suspect Arrested in Two Fountain Valley Robberies
A man suspected of robbing a Security Pacific Bank branch here Friday afternoon and holding up a nearby bank branch earlier this month was arrested at a Long Beach residence, police said.
Todd S. Alexander, 43, was arrested without incident in Long Beach just hours after the holdup, police said. He is suspected of walking into the bank, handing a note demanding cash to a teller and running off after receiving an undisclosed amount, police said.
A police investigation led to the surveillance of a Long Beach residence.
Alexander was a registered guest in a Buena Park motel, police said, and his permanent place of residence is not known.
The robbery occurred at 3 p.m. in the 17000 block of Magnolia Street, said police, who also suspect Alexander in the April 18 robbery of a Downey Savings branch in the same block of Magnolia.
