Missouri football players Tony VanZant and Antonio Cooper were arrested on charges of third-degree assault after a fight outside a bar in Columbia, Mo.
Police said VanZant, a junior running back, and Cooper, a sophomore linebacker, were allegedly involved in a brawl early Saturday with two men outside the Field House, a student night spot. The players were released from Boone County jail after they each posted $1,000 bond.
A third person, Levoid Jackson, a friend of the players, was also arrested after the fight, which police said started inside the establishment after VanZant, a former Parade Magazine national player of the year, bumped into an unidentified man on the dance floor.
