Principal Bill: Though students found him “awesome,” one day as a high school principal didn’t make rock promoter Bill Graham want to take up that career permanently. “Never. You have to have too much patience,” he said after playing principal-for-a-day at a San Francisco high school. Graham visited classes as part of a program that puts business and community leaders in charge of school for a day, casually talking about rock stars he knew and voicing concerns about the state of education. After school, it was back to work for Graham, who announced Wednesday that he’ll present music festivals at three ski resorts this summer. The locations are Mammoth Mountain (June 22-23), Telluride, Colo. (July 19-21) and Squaw Valley (Aug. 24-25).
