The Beverly Hills Waterworks building and a renovated Craftsman bungalow in Santa Monica will receive awards May 15 from the Los Angeles Conservancy, a nonprofit group specializing in restoration of historic architecture.

The Waterworks building, which for nearly 50 years was the city’s primary water treatment facility, recently became the new home of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Center for Motion Picture Study.

The ceremony will also honor restorers of the Henry Weaver house, 142 Adelaide Drive, Santa Monica, a Craftsman bungalow that has been declared a national historic landmark.
