Anaheim Man Killed on Job by Steel Beam
LOS ANGELES —
An Anaheim construction worker was killed Friday morning when he was crushed by a steel beam that fell from a forklift, police said.
Robert Laster, 50, was working at the Superior Warehouse at 7316 S. Compton Ave. when the accident occurred about 9:30 a.m.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Mary Landreth said the beam was being held in place by the forklift while Laster and co-workers tried to secure it to another beam. In the process, Landreth said, the beam slipped and fell on Laster.
