VENTURA : High School Pool Fund-Raiser Today
Ventura High School students, alumni and staff will hold a fund-raiser on campus today to raise money to replace the school’s swimming pool.
The old pool, which had a cracked foundation and was leaking water, was closed last year. Construction of a new pool is under way.
The fund-raiser will feature a barbecue, auction, door prizes and music provided by Bill Snyder and his Little Red Schoolhouse Band, said Dorothy Graham, a 1930 Ventura High graduate.
Admission to the all-you-can-eat barbecue is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. The event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m.
