Tourists’ Cameras Capture Robbers of Armored Car

ARLINGTON, Tex. —
Police credit a busload of camera-toting Japanese tourists with solving an armored car robbery.
Police said the 23 touring businessmen were taking pictures in a parking lot of a store Wednesday morning when they saw a man with a gun running to a car. Police say he was one of two people who robbed $16,900 from an armored car nearby.
There were no photographs of the robbery itself, but there were shots of the getaway car and its license plate. Police traced the car and arrested two teen-agers.
