Seven Are Entered in Feature Race

A field of seven headed by Fire The Groom and Annual Reunion was entered Friday in Sunday’s $100,000-added Wilshire Handicap at Hollywood Park.

Fire The Groom will be ridden by Gary Stevens and was assigned high weight of 118 pounds for the 30th running of the 1 1-16 mile race for fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up, on Hollywood Park’s turf course.

Annual Reunion will be ridden by Corey Nakatani and was assigned 117 pounds.

Others entered were Appealing Missy, who will be ridden by Chris McCarron and was assigned 116 pounds; Spring Daffodil, Laffit Pincay, 115 pounds; Odalea, David Flores, 115 pounds; Agirlfromars, Alex Solis, 114 pounds, and Gaelic Bird, Jose Santos, 114 pounds.

If all seven entries go to the post, the total purse will be $109,000 and the winner will earn $64,000.
