LOCKWOOD VALLEY : Motorcyclist Hurt in Head-On Crash Dies
A Bellflower motorcyclist injured in a head-on collision in northern Ventura County on Sunday has died of his injuries, a Ventura County coroner’s spokesman said.
Frank Iglesias, 24, died about 1:20 p.m. Tuesday at Ventura County Medical Center, Deputy Coroner Jim Wingate said.
Iglesias suffered severe abdominal and chest injuries in the accident, Wingate said. An autopsy will be performed today to determine the cause of death.
The accident occurred as Iglesias was speeding west on Lockwood Valley Road about four miles south of the Kern County line, authorities said. He crossed the center line and slammed head-on into a car, authorities said.
The occupants of the car, Carlyle Sanberg and Lenore Sneed, were slightly injured.
Iglesias is survived by his parents, who live in Bellflower, Wingate said.
