Driver Wedges Car Under Truck Trailer
A 1979 Honda became lodged under the trailer of a big rig Wednesday after its driver reportedly tried to cut through rush-hour traffic, causing the California Highway Patrol to issue a 45-minute SigAlert on the southbound Orange Freeway.
Witnesses told police that Raha Ghori, 41, of Alta Loma, was traveling south at a high rate of speed at 5:30 p.m. on the freeway, north of Imperial Highway, alternating between the left lane and the center divider.
As he weaved, Ghori’s car smashed into the tractor-trailer and was lodged just forward of the trailer’s rear axle, a CHP dispatcher said.
