“The Gay ‘90s” dinner and entertainment held at Costa Mesa Neighborhood Community Center on May 3 raised an estimated $10,000 for California Elwyn, which serves adults with disabilities. Susan DuMontier was chairwoman.
The “Derby Day” party held at Le Meridien Hotel in Newport Beach on May 4 raised an estimated $60,000 for the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Orange County. Colleen Hernandez was chairwoman.
The “Great Gatsby Party” held at the Santa Ana Heights home of John and Donna Crean on May 4 raised an estimated $25,000 for Y2000 of the South Orange County YWCA Hotel for Women. Nuby Sears and Rock Daze chaired the event.
The “Kentucky Derby Day” party held at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach on May 4 raised an estimated $30,000 for the Navy/Marine Corps Relief Society. Michael P. Stanko was chairman.
The dinner held at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim on May 4 raised an estimated $60,000 for the Lestonnac Free Clinic. Alan and Susan Boerner chaired the event.
