Pacifists and Mideast War

We are writing in response to a letter from Hinda Lee Sheffer (May 1), regarding the Hollywood Desert Storm Parade to be held on Sunday. She stated in her letter that there is to be no grandstand seating or parking for the disabled wishing to attend the parade.

Members of the Junior Class of Hollywood High School are providing parking on our campus for the parade as a fund-raiser for our senior prom. The price will be $10 ($8 for senior citizens and the disabled).

Although we are not able to offer grandstand seating, we will do our best to help people obtain good viewing locations in front of the school. They must, however, bring their own folding chairs.

By helping the public to see the parade, we are performing a community service, raising the funds needed for prom and, most importantly, supporting our returning troops, as well as all veterans who have valiantly supported us.
