A 27-year-old man was fatally injured Tuesday after he lost control of his motorcycle on California 67 and was thrown to the ground, officials said.
Timothy Alan Koch of El Cajon was northbound on the highway about 1:40 p.m. when he ran off the road near Vigilante Road and suffered multiple injuries, according to Ken Bell, a deputy medical examiner investigator.
Koch has taken by Life Flight helicopter to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where he died during surgery at 4:15 p.m.
According to Bell, Koch was a laborer for Enniss Enterprises, a heavy equipment company. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, Bell said.
