Alhambra : New Rules for News Racks
The City Council voted unanimously Monday to require that sidewalk racks selling sexually explicit magazines and newspapers install screens to block the lower two-thirds of the publication.
Councilwoman Barbara A. Messina said the measure will “hopefully clean up all the dirty, obscene newspapers in front of the post office and Bob’s Big Boy.”
The measure will go into effect in late June if the council approves a second reading of the ordinance at its May 27 meeting.
