LOS ALAMITOS — A California Highway Patrol officer responding to a freeway accident Thursday was struck from behind on his way to the crash, authorities said.
The motorcycle officer was responding shortly before 6 p.m. to a non-injury, three-car crash on the northbound San Diego Freeway, just north of Seal Beach, when a car hit him from behind, CHP spokesman Mo Baker said.
The officer, who was not identified, was taken to Los Alamitos Medical Center after complaining of some pains, Baker said.
