VENTURA : Woman, 18, Raped in Beach Restroom

An 18-year-old woman was raped Saturday in a public restroom at Surfers Point at Seaside Park in Ventura, police said. The attack occurred at 4 p.m., when the victim left her friends to use the restroom, police said. A man attacked her as she entered a restroom stall, police said.
The victim told police that she screamed for help when she heard two women walk into the restroom, but they left without doing or saying anything.
The victim lives in Ojai and speaks little English, police said. She was treated and released at Ventura County Medical Center, police said.
The attacker was described as a 25-year-old Latino man with a slight sunburn and wearing knee-length gray shorts and white high-top sneakers, police said.
