Share

Thousand Oaks residents who want to be rid of old appliances, furniture or even yard clippings can dispose of them free of charge during the city’s annual cleanup and recycling day on Saturday.

The city will collect unwanted items and trash for recycling or disposal from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at three locations, including Thousand Oaks High School at 2323 N. Moorpark Road, Newbury Park High School at 456 Reino Road and Westlake High School at 100 N. Lakeview Canyon Road in Westlake Village.

No liquids, hazardous materials or commercial refuse will be accepted. Appliances, furniture, yard waste, scrap metal, recyclable glass, cans, paper, clothes or other usable goods and “just plain junk” will be accepted, city representatives said.
