The FBI is seeking the public’s help in tracking down a man suspected of holding up an American Savings Bank here on May 3.
Agents described the robber as a Caucasian male about 40 years old, with graying, light-brown hair and a sallow complexion. He is about 6 feet tall, 150 pounds, and has a sunken, unshaven face.
The suspect entered the bank about 11:30 a.m. and loitered inside before handing an employee an illegible note, according to the FBI. Then he opened his Windbreaker to display a gun stuck in the waistband of his pants.
“I want all your bills,” the robber was quoted as saying to bank employees. “I want all your 100s. I want everything you have. No ones. . . . I know you have more. Hurry up. You have three seconds.”
Authorities said he took an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.
In its request to the public, the FBI on Monday released a photograph of the suspect that was taken by the bank’s security cameras. Anyone with information about the suspect should call the FBI at (714) 542-8825.
