The manager of the Houston nightclub where Carl Lewis and other athletes were drinking in January testified during Lewis’ drunk-driving trial that the Olympic track star was sober an hour before he ran his car into a curb.
Kenneth Alan Bounds said Lewis arrived at the club shortly before midnight Jan. 10 with Houston Oiler quarterback Warren Moon, Detroit Lion quarterback Andre Ware, Houston Rockets Otis Thorpe and Hakeem Olajuwon and other athletes.
Lewis ordered two vodkas mixed with cranberry juice and a woman in the party ordered two beers, Bounds said.
