Music to Benefit Prison Ministry

World Invocation Day is also called the Festival of Goodwill or Festival of Humanity and is being celebrated locally Monday at the Unity Church of Truth in Tustin.

Since 1952, World Invocation Day has been observed by many people of different faiths who hope for harmony in the world.

The public is invited to attend the church celebration, which will include music, meditation and a presentation about World Invocation Day, which falls on Tuesday.

The event is scheduled from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Monday at 14402 S. Prospect Ave., Tustin. Information: (714) 777-2723.

The keynote speaker Sunday at the annual Bible Conference at Woodbridge Community Church in Irvine is Harold Sala, founder and president of Guidelines Inc.

Sala also conducts a radio program called “Guidelines: A Five-Minute Commentary” and “Guidelines for Family Living.”

The conference topic at 8 and 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. is “Prophesy: God’s Timetable of the Ages.” At 6 p.m., the topic is “The Road to Armageddon.”

Chaplain Alan Baker of the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station has recently returned from the Persian Gulf and will be the guest speaker at special services Sunday at the Lake Hills Community Church in Laguna Hills. Members of the congregation who served in the Gulf will be honored at the services, which are at 9 and 10:30 a.m.
