Jurisprudence
Six Georgia Tech athletes, including Andy Bruce, Atlantic Coast Conference baseball player of the year, and William Bell, the leading rusher on the football team, were arrested in three separate incidents.
Bell and a teammate, James Reese, were charged with four counts of possession of stolen merchandise, involving textbooks and other school supplies, according to the school.
Bruce and teammate Darren Bragg were jailed briefly on two felony burglary charges and released on $500 bond. A school spokesman said that the two players had been suspended.
And in a third incident, two other football players, linebackers Rich Strohmeier and Bill Neuss, were arrested for assault after an altercation with bouncer at a bar.
