‘BLAST FURNACES’

Re “Men of Steel” (May 19), I applaud your selection of the powerful image from Bernd and Hilda Bechers’ “Blast Furnaces” to accompany the two reviews.

For readers interested in the Bechers’ work, the Newport Harbor Art Museum currently is exhibiting “Typologies: Nine Contemporary Photographers,” which includes several series of the Bechers’ work. The exhibit closes next Sunday and will travel to Akron.
