VENTURA : 2 Schools Won’t Air Controversial Show
A controversial satellite news program for students will not be broadcast at Buena and Ventura high schools, the board of the Ventura Unified School District has decided.
After about an hour of discussion Tuesday night, including testimony from teachers and parents, board member John Walker moved to approve the 12-minute commercially sponsored program produced by Whittle Communications of Knoxville, Tenn. However, no other board member backed the proposal.
