Deadly Siege on RTD Bus
I was appalled and shocked when I read your front-page article “Strange Woman Turned Deadly in Bus Siege” (May 17). How sad it is that the only way our Sheriff’s Department Special Weapons Team knows how to handle a situation like this is with submachine guns! I cannot believe that this is how to deal with a crazed woman on a bus with a gun!
Talking over a bullhorn to a deranged person is not how to deal with her! Then blowing her away with such force just sounds to me like people who need to prove they are “tough stuff”! They were not humanely dealing with a difficult, dangerous situation.
