Simpsons on the Block: Images of Bart, Marge and Homer Simpson will go on sale at Christie’s in New York on June 20. For the first time, cels from Fox’s “The Simpsons” will be on the block in an animated art auction. The 27 original cels are from the first season of “Simpsons” episodes and from appearances on “The Tracey Ullman Show.” Signed by creator Matt Groening, the cels are estimated to be worth up to $1,800 each. The proceeds from a new cel created especially for the auction will go to AIDS Project Los Angeles.
