*** Godfathers, “Unreal World,” Epic. Perhaps there’s something to be said for putting the worst song on your record first: It sure makes the rest of the album sound good. Once they get through the Fixx-like pomposities of the title cut, London’s Godfathers settle down to their usual premium brand of hazy psychedelia-cum-pub-rock, best displayed on the lilting, folk-tinged “Drag Me Down Again.”
Albums are rated on a scale of one star (poor) to five (a classic).
