Political Pundits: Tim Russert, the NBC News bureau chief in Washington, and Al Hunt of the Wall Street Journal debut this morning as the new political analysts on NBC’s “Today” show. The two will appear every other Tuesday (in the 7:30 to 8 a.m. time slot) with congressional correspondent Andrea Mitchell to discuss the Washington political scene. Russert and Hunt, who have been appearing regularly as panelists on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” replace columnists David Broder and Jack Germond, who recently defected to Cable News Network.
