Duarte : Noise Ordinance Change
Blaring music, construction equipment and other loud noises would have to quiet down an hour earlier under an ordinance tentatively approved by the City Council Tuesday.
The proposed ordinance, which received a unanimous vote, would amend noise regulations currently in the Duarte City Code. It would outlaw high-decibel noise from the hours of 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Under the current law, loud noises have to stop at 10 p.m.
Final decision on the ordinance is scheduled for June 25 following a public hearing.
