Man in Parked Car Killed in Drive-By Shooting
A man sitting in his car early Friday on an Athens street was struck and killed by bullets fired by someone in a passing car, authorities said.
Kelyn Davis, 21, of Pasadena, was alone in his car but had been talking to two men on the sidewalk when several shots were fired by someone in a car heading south in the 12400 block of South San Pedro Street, Deputy Bill Linnemeyer said.
Davis was hit once in the back in the 1:30 a.m. shooting and he died two hours later at Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center.
