Airport Shuttles
In response to “LAX Shuttle Regulations Putting Drivers in a Pinch,” Metro, June 9:
We have used door-to-door airport shuttles many times in the past three years. But given our most recent experience, we probably won’t again.
Previously, we were able to talk with available shuttle drivers at Los Angeles International Airport and make our selection based on the price and the other stops we would have to endure. This past trip, we waited over 90 minutes for our shuttle “reservation,” unable to flag down a competitor because of airport rules. We ended up going to Northridge (a 25-minute drive on the 405) via Glendale (a 90-minute drive via surface streets).
We wasted three hours on a trip that should have taken a fraction of the time. Next time, we’ll take the car.
