Norwalk : Portable Concession Trailer to Be Used for Sports Events
- Share via
The City Council has approved the purchase of a portable concession trailer as a cheap alternative to building more snack bars in Norwalk parks.
The 16-foot trailer will be available for loan throughout the year to youth and community organizations such as the Norwalk-Santa Fe Springs Youth Football group and the All-City Band. The groups will be able to use the trailer to sell hot dogs and soft drinks at area sporting events.
Building permanent snack bars at parks could cost the city about $85,000 per site, said Ernie Garcia, deputy city manager for community services. The city will use $20,136 from its capital equipment fund to buy the mobile snack unit.
