Public Ideas Sought on Hospital Site Selection

Share

The county is embarking on a series of community meetings about where to locate a new 350-bed medical center that will serve parts of Southeast Los Angeles County and the San Gabriel Valley.

The hospital is designed mostly for low-income patients and is meant to augment services of County-USC Medical Center.

Some of the sites under consideration are on Workman Mill Road near Whittier, adjacent to the Pico Rivera golf course at the northern boundary of Pico Rivera, and adjacent to the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte. Additional proposed locations will be described at the hearings by representatives of the county Department of Health Services.
