Advocate of Abortion Rights Gives Thanks
When my second child was 3 years old, I had major surgery. Complications set in and I had a long hospital stay. When I left the hospital after a whole month, my surgeon told me, “Do not plan to have another child, it could be fatal!”
Had I become pregnant, I would have had an abortion. I do not think any man has the right to tell me that I have to bear a child, whether he be a president, Supreme Court judge, a priest, or an activist. I think it was far more important that I lived to bring up my children, whom I love dearly.
I am grateful to Planned Parenthood for all the good work it does and I support it in all it does. I am definitely “pro-choice.”
