Machine Tool Orders Fall: The orders dropped for the third straight month in May to their lowest level in nearly four years, the Assn. for Manufacturing Technology said. They were off 24.5% to $155.80 million from $206.45 million a year ago. That was the weakest monthly showing since $142 million in August, 1987.
