Fourth of July activities will abound throughout the county this year.

The following is a list of activities and locations.

Dancin’ in the Streets--7:30 to 11:30 p.m., upper parking lot at Ventura City Hall, 501 Poli St., live music with Randy Rich and the Ravens, The Convertibles and The Bombers. Must be 21 to attend. Tickets are $10; $8.50 advance tickets are available at numerous locations. Call 653-0828.

Ventura Beach Fireworks--5 a.m. (best viewing by the promenade at the end of California Street). A pre-dawn fireworks show, followed by the children’s Pushem-Pullem Parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street, from Hemlock to Chestnut Streets. The annual Street Festival follows from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., from Main Street to Fir, offering seven blocks of food booths, crafts and entertainment. Call 654-7830.

Fourth of July Summer Pops Concert--7 p.m, Festival Bowl at Libbey Park, Signal Street and Ojai Avenue, Ojai, features the Ventura County Symphony Orchestra performing with folk music group The Acousticats. Tickets are $15, $8 for children under 12. Call 643-8646.

California Lutheran Desert Storm Salute--Kingsman Park, at Olsen Road and Mountclef Boulevard in Thousand Oaks, noon to 6:30 p.m. Strolling entertainment--fiddlers, clowns and mimes--a USO-style show with the Tri-High Choir, food and drink, followed by the Conejo Concert Band, with Elmer Ramsey conducting favorite marches and patriotic music, at 4 p.m. Call 499-4355.

Fireworks--9 p.m., viewed from the Oaks Mall parking lot, Thousand Oaks, (west of Moorpark Road). The fireworks are launched from the old Civic Center hill and can be seen from the entire mall area. Call 499-4355 for information.

Operation Homecoming--12:30 to 5 p.m., Oxnard Airport, 2889 W. 5th St., features air and ground ceremonies welcoming home Persian Gulf veterans and those of other wars. Events include flyovers by military and civilian aircraft, weapons displays and parade. No charge. Call 643-6741.

Fourth of July Spectacular--2 p.m., at Camarillo’s Freedom Park, Pleasant Valley Road and Freedom Park Drive. Entertainment includes live music, magicians and a Kiddie Karnival. Fireworks display starts at dusk. Admission is $5, $3 senior citizens and students, and free for children under 5. Call 482-1996.

Concert in the Sky--Moorpark Community High School, 280 Casey Road, Moorpark, on Wednesday. Gates open at 4 p.m., with continuous music, food booths and children’s activities. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. Admission is $6, $4 children ages 3 to 12 and seniors, and free for kids under 3. Call 378-5154.

Fireworks--9 p.m., Fillmore High School, 555 Central Ave. Other entertainment, including children’s activities and live musical act, will be held on the football field from noon to 10 p.m. No charge. Call 524-3701.

All-American Country Western Day--Triunfo Canyon Park, 980 Aranmoor Ave., Westlake, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Country games, a trick-roping demonstration, an old-fashioned pie-eating contest, a gunfighters’ stunt show and, from 1:30 to 3, the All-American Country Band. Food and drink will be for sale, or bring a picnic. Call 492-2461.
