West L.A. : High School Upgrade OKd
A contract has been approved by the Los Angeles Unified School District Board to renovate the antiquated science classrooms and other facilities at University High School in West Los Angeles.
The $1.1-million project was threatened last year when the school board was poised to relinquish the state funds earmarked for it because construction projects to alleviate overcrowding were more pressing.
