THE RIGHT PITCH: Jack Petruzzelli had to decide: Should he scrap a Fullerton police career to open a baseball card shop? Then came pivotal advice from a friend: Dodger pitcher Orel Hershiser. . . . Two weeks later, “I put in my letter” of resignation, said Petruzzelli, who with his wife, Patti, is co-promoter of this week’s National Sports Collectors Convention in Anaheim (C14).
