Pickens Withdraws Koito Lawsuit: Investor T. Boone Pickens Jr. withdrew a suit filed last year with the Tokyo District Court, demanding access to Koito’s accounts. The suit was aimed at shedding light on what Pickens alleged was Koito’s illegal business relationship with Toyota. Pickens announced in April that he would sell his 26.4% stake in Koito and drop his two-year fight for a seat on the company’s board. Koito is affiliated with Toyota in a cross-ownership relationship that is common in Japan.
