FILLMORE : Council to Consider Hike in Trash Fees
Fillmore residents would pay 11% more for trash disposal if a rate increase requested by Santa Clara Valley Disposal Co. is approved by the City Council on Tuesday.
The company has asked to raise residential rates from $15.25 per month for one barrel to $16.93. Commercial rates would increase by 10%. Curbside recycling would continue to cost $1.60 a month. Representatives of the disposal company requested the change because of increased fees at the Toland Road landfill, city officials said.
