BUZZ DOWN SOUTH: Buzz Aldrin, Orange Couny’s own famous ex-astronaut, has taken to the seas off Mexico to lead an expedition of astro-buffs intent on witnessing Thursday’s solar eclipse. . . . The second man to walk on the moon, Aldrin is serving as a “celebrity host” for Carnival Cruise Lines. . . . The ship, which left Sunday, will hit such heavenly ports as Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta while putting astronomy aficionados in front-row seats for the eclipse.
