Continental to Raise Fares: Although the U.S. airline industry continues to suffer, Continental Airlines is bucking the trend and raising domestic fares 5% starting July 24 in hopes of improving profits. Most other carriers, cautious about jeopardizing the industry’s snail-paced recovery, have not followed suit.
