FILLMORE : Council Approves Trash Rate Increase
Fillmore residents will pay more for trash pickup after the City Council approved a rate increase Tuesday night.
Because of increased fees at the Toland Road Landfill, Fillmore residents will pay 11% more for trash service.
The cost of one barrel will increase from $15.25 a month to $16.93 a month.
Commercial refuse rates will increase by 10%, but a $1.60 monthly curbside recycling charge for residents will remain unchanged.
The increase becomes effective Aug. 1.
