Former NFL player Larry Flowers was indicted in Newark, N.J., along with two policemen and three other men on charges of operating a cocaine distribution ring out of a New Jersey bakery.
Flowers’ last NFL season was 1985, and prosecutors said there are no allegations that other NFL players were involved in the alleged drug ring.
Flowers played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New York Giants and the New York Jets from 1980 to ’85.
